I had a tens unit sitting in my desk drawer for months, I had it prescribed for my hip, but it was unsuccessful. Over the last 4-5 months, my knee has developed a terrible and constant pain. i decided to throw the tens on to see if it would help. I’m still going to see a doctor but, I just wanted to thank you for the late night lesson, and instant pain relief without worrying about messing with more narcotics. Thank you, very much.

I was once issued a ‘tens’ unit from the another provider & they were no help at all. Their cables failed & no pads were available. I repaired their cables myself. I’m a old telephone lineman & a ham radio operator so the repair was easy for me. But most people are not able to do that & should not have to.

But with MedFaxx none of this is a problem. You folks really want to help the patient.

I have Severe arthritis in my neck, back, and hips from my work as a lineman. Presently doctors want to replace my hips & do several back /neck surgeries. In fact I was recently offered Morphine for pain! But using the Infrex I don’t see the need for that medication & the side affects.

I typically use it morning and evening while reading e-mail , watching TV etc. With the batteries I can carry it around the house. So it’s not a ‘time wasting” treatment at all.
I find relief very quickly. I some times use heat pack while resting & use the InFrex unit at the same time.

I have recently tried some of the pain gels you offer. The “Orthogel” works well for me. It applies easily & is not oily or “gooey”. I’ll definitely be using more of these as well.

The unit is not difficult to use. I did have to work with it a bit to find the best placement for the pads and the best shape of pad to use. My pain is quite wide spread & after a few attempts found the best place for the pads to get the widest pain relief. In one of the videos Bob mentioned placing the pads in such a way the an ‘imaginary line’ connecting them would form a “X”, like the cross hair of a rifle scope,,,, ‘Targeting the pain” . As a life long outdoors man & target shooter this made perfect sense to me. More importantly IT WORKS !

The pain relief also much longer lasting the old Tens unit I was using. In fact I have had to skip a treatment I usually take due to appointments. The long lasting affect of the Infrex unit allowed this to happen.

Anyone thinking about this unit should call right away . Don’t wait another minute. The Staff will walk you through the process. They should watch the videos & ‘play’ with the unit to find what is best for them. This might be a little frustrating for some people but I’d strongly encourage them to work with this tool. The pads & adjustment form a very versatile solution to set up for your personal needs.

Once you get past the “fiddle factor” you wont want to be without it.

I apologize for not responding to your emails.  Things have just been so hectic with my family.

I am using the unit twice a day, each time

I use it approx 15-20 min in one area and another 15 min in another area which seems to really help.  I think in the beginning I was using a higher strength than I should have to the point of really pulling on the muscle that hurt.  I am getting pain relief

which is wonderful.  I was able to stop taking pain pills and I am so glad as they make me very tired and I am an active person.  My doctor does not want to consider surgery now, I think because he is not sure of where in my spine the pain is coming from.

I would like to get this unit to keep.

Please advise what you need from me for Medicare.  My Medicare Supplement will pay too as long as Medicare pays.

I do need some of the pads, how do I get them.

Very nice note and glad it is working for you.  Please call me if you have any questions I can help you with.  As far as electrode pads go I’ll have Linda or Susan call you on that as they know the Medicare way of handling those pads – reusuable electrodes.

My goal is to make you feel better and a suggestion is you can use the Infrex as much and as long as you need it.  If you do a 15 minute treatment and the pain returns then turn it back on.  You can literally wear it continuously if you need to.

It sounds though as if you are doing very good with the way you are using it.   If you have trouble going to sleep at night then do a 15 minute treatment on interferential  and then put in batteries, go to tns mode, and wear unit on tns mode all night if that will help you sleep.

Expect call or email from Linda or Susan to help on the pads.

If you’d like, we can file the claim for you and then re-imburse you for the amount they pay. I’ll drop the claim so it will be printed and I’m sending a copy of your email to Susan who handles our insurance billing. I believe we are filing with the insurance company for the purchase of the unit rather than rentals. As yet, I don’t think we have heard from them. Susan will be out of the office tomorrow, but should get back to you Wednesday.

The reason for showing this is in most situations once a tens or Infrex unit is paid for by the insurance company then after that monthly tens supplies and other skin care products as well as topical pain agents will be paid for by the insurance company. For the insurance company the treating of the chronic pain costs after purchase is more than financially justified since now the problem is being treated and additional costs to the insurance company are much less than with traditional chronic pain patients. That translates into the insurance company is saving money if the Infrex or tens treatments are successful.
According to study few years back the biggest cost to the U.S. health care system is not cancer, not heart related issues, but chronic pain.
In most situations MedFaxx bills directly the insurance company for any tens or Infrex supplies so there is no out of pocket costs to our customers.
